I love stewed fruit, and this plum apple sauce is absolutely delicious. It’s one of our favorites in the CFYL office. Not only does it taste really good, it is perfect to eat during chemo....

Ingredients

  • 1½ pounds Gala apples, cored, peeled, and cubed
  • 1½ pounds black plums, quartered, pit removed, and skin left on

Chef Tips

Gala apples are sweet. If you can’t find them use Golden Delicious as a substitute.

If you are feeling up to it, this dish is the perfect filling for a fall pie, crisp or crumble. Try it with our Granola Crumble Topping.
