    1 cup almond milk

    2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter or almond butter

    1 banana

    ¼ cup dark chocolate chips (optional)

    1 cup ice

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until desired consistency. Add more almond milk for a less thick smoothie.

The riper the banana, the sweeter your smoothie will be. Use unsweetened peanut butter – check the label to see what’s in there. If you are vegan, use a protein powder to suit your needs. Always buy the best quality you can afford. If you are on a high protein high calorie diet use whole milk which has more calories and protein than almond milk.
