Choosing the Best Dairy Products, and an Almond Milk Tea Recipe
Choosing the Best Dairy Products
There are many different types of milk and dairy-like products. However, a lot of them are high in fat and sugar.
Use this guide to make the best choices. Choose the ones by the green circle in the traffic light (for Go!), which include low-fat and low-sugar milks like non-fat cow’s milk or unsweetened and low-fat rice, soy, almond, or cashew milk.
Now that you are aware of which milks are the best milks, try this recipe!
Almond Milk Chai Tea
Makes: 4 servings
- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 3 chai tea bags
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground clove
1.Warm the almond milk in a sauce pot. Remove from heat. Add the tea bags, cover, and steep for 5-7 minutes.
2.Take tea bags out and add vanilla, cinnamon and ground cloves.
3.Pour into tea cups and serve. Or let cool and pour over ice.
