Ingredients

    2/3 cup white rice

    ¼ cup quinoa

    4 cups water

    2 (3-inches) Mexican cinnamon sticks

    1 cup granulated sugar

    4 cups whole milk

    1 (15 oz.) can evaporated milk

    Ground cinnamon, to serve

Directions

  1. In a large pot put the rice, quinoa, water and cinnamon sticks over medium high heat. Bring to a boil and low heat, simmer rice for 15 minutes.
  2. Add sugar and whole milk and continue to cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from the heat and add the evaporated milk, stir and serve with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon.
