Quick & Easy Tips to Get More Steps and Be More Physically Active
Remember, the goal for physical activity is at least 30 minutes 5 days per week. But don’t stress – every little bit counts, including fun activities like walking or dancing! Small changes can make big differences to your overall health. For example:
- Instead of sitting down when you are talking on the phone, walk around the house. Those steps add up!
- When there is a commercial on TV, do a short workout video on YouTube. An hour long show usually has at least 15 minutes of commercials. In two hours, you could do the daily goal of 30 minutes of physical activity!
- Try to take the stairs as often as possible if you can.
- Set goals for yourself! Try a quick workout every morning, so you can start your day feeling positive. Or try dancing to 5 songs per day.
